SHULGA OKSANA: RUNNING HORSES 3.03-31.03.2025 @ Lapua, Finland

The idea of ​​this series of paintings is to emphasize the poetry of horse racing, to convey the noble appearance of the horse and the beauty of its movements. The exhibition presents paintings and drawings made in oil, pastel, pencil and watercolor, illustrating moments of rapid movement of a horse and rider, and the flight of galloping horses. Welcome!

SHULGA OKSANA: THE COLOUR OF THE SEA 28.01-21.02.2025 @ Villa Väinöllä, Nelimarkka Art Museum, Finland
The «The colour of the Sea» project is my impressions from a trip to northern Norway, in the city of Tromsø.

The exhibition also features illustrations for Edgar Allan Poe’s story «The Descent into Maelstrom». This work immerses us in a world of strong emotions, where the main character finds himself alone with the forces of nature, making a decision that will determine his life. This step, without the ability to turn back and try again, creates enormous tension that permeates the entire story.

In the illustrations for this story, I decided to show the feeling of chaos and dynamics, the frantic movement of the harsh northern sea, splashes, huge waves and moments of despair. I tried to create powerful tension through the opposition of two principles - shadow and light.
