Znakovo

'Znakovo. Owl' is a collection inspired by the symbol of Maria Tenisheva, founder of the Historical and Ethnographic Museum in Smolensk.

This textile collection featuring the owl symbol is dedicated to her patronage of the arts and her enamels. The owl symbol serves as a personal amulet for the home.

Designing a logo and illustrations for the Znakovo company, a home textile company. It was a truly fascinating experience for me, immersing myself in the history of Russian culture, introducing me to the "Russian Antiquity" museum in Smolensk, founded by Princess Tenisheva, and also seeing her enamel collection. All this knowledge was brought together in this logo and the designs.

This name is no accident; it's about signs, symbols, and meanings. Signs existed long before us; they can be found in the ornamentation of wooden houses, in the patterns of towels passed from hand to hand. "Znakovo" was born in Smolensk, where history shines through every stone of the estates, every roof of the Teremok in Talashkino.

Znakovo creates embroidery with meaning, where each pattern is not only beautiful, but also a protective sign, a kind hint, a thread that connects time.
